Thanks for changing your world

During the first week of July in 2009, thousands of you across the UK swapped a car trip and walked, cycled, used public transport or car-shared instead. If you were one of them – a big, big thank you for doing your bit to cut car traffic and change our world.

Change Your World will be back next year between 28 June and 3 July 2010. We really hope you’ll join in again and, of course, if you enjoyed your car-free journey, don’t wait until then to give it another go.

Nearly one in four car trips are less than two miles so why not turn the key in your ignition more often? It’s easy to swap a car trip now and then and you’ll continue to enjoy all the benefits of healthier travel.  Sounds like very good car-ma to us!

Felicitari pentru grupul de voluntari care au curatat Padurea Baneasa de gunoaie. Felicitari Lianei ca a reusit sa convinga din ce in ce mai multi oameni sa igienizeze padurea fara pretentii! Noi, biciclistii bucuresteni, saraci in munti si vai, dar bogati in poluanti, le multumim pentru efort.

Sambata, in padurea Baneasa, impreuna cu familia si inca doi-trei prieteni, ne-am simtit cu adevarat beneficiarii activitatilor de voluntariat care au ca scop mentinerea padurilor si spatiilor verzi in stare cat mai naturala. Am pedalat cu mic cu mare pe aleile libere, pline de frunze risipite in mod natural, am respirat miros de pamant reavan, fara arome artificiale de benzina, motorina si parfum ieftin, am admirat din “goana” bicicletei peisajul de toamna, fara coloranti sintetici ai pungilor de chips, PET-urilor sau cutiilor de bere… ba chiar am mai imbuteliat ceva borcane cu aer proaspat!!
